Hello MP Pickleballers!
My good friend Larry Wang, the founder of the Los Angeles Pickleball FB group, is a member of a group organizing a 3/22 charity pickleball event at pickle Arcadia for fire victims and first responders. The event will take place from 12-4p.
They are looking for donations to give to those impacted by the fires. The donation scope has grown beyond pickleball but pickleball gear is the main donation category. The goal is 50 high-quality paddles, ~30 new or near new shoes, 2 new or near new nets and a bunch of balls.
Outreach is in full swing across the many parks in the SGV, as well as businesses including CAPA, NVZ, Pickleball Cares and Skechers.
Please reach out via DM if you can donate. As one of the early pickleball trendsetters in the SGV and a place where many of us have learned this wonderful game, let’s see if we can donate the most gear for this great cause.
Donations are tax deductible and a receipt will be provided by Farnsworth Park Pickleball Association. All donors will be publicly acknowledged unless you request to remain anonymous.
